The hour before anyone else is awake
On the small rituals that make a day feel chosen instead of assigned.
An independent journal, kept since 1995
Cornflower is a place for entries written slowly — mornings noted, places kept, and letters finished long after they stopped being urgent.

On the small rituals that make a day feel chosen instead of assigned.

Why an unread page is still worth filling, and what changes when you stop performing for one.

Two unplanned days, one borrowed umbrella, and a bakery that opened whenever it felt like it.

Who writes this
This journal began as a stack of unsent letters and a habit of noticing. It still runs on both. Entries arrive when they are ready — which is to say, irregularly, and on purpose.
An occasional dispatch when something worth reading has been posted. No noise between issues.
