Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: April 1, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs how you may use the LiteFrame CMS platform and the websites hosted on it. This policy applies to all account holders, including agencies managing client sites through the Agency plan. It supplements our Terms of Use.
We built LiteFrame to help people build and manage great websites. This policy exists to protect the platform, our infrastructure, and the community of users who depend on it.
Prohibited Content
You may not use the platform to host, distribute, or link to content that:
- Is illegal under United States federal or state law, or the laws of your jurisdiction
- Infringes on the intellectual property rights of others, including copyrights, trademarks, patents, or trade secrets
- Contains or distributes malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, or any other malicious code
- Is designed to phish, deceive, or defraud visitors into providing personal information or credentials
- Sexually exploits or endangers minors in any way
- Promotes or incites violence, terrorism, or hate against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
- Contains personal or private information about others published without their consent (doxing)
- Impersonates another person, business, or organization in a misleading way
Prohibited Activities
You may not use the platform to:
- Send unsolicited bulk email or messages (spam) through forms, lead capture, or any other platform feature
- Harvest, scrape, or collect email addresses or personal information from other websites for use in bulk messaging
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform, other user accounts, or our server infrastructure
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the platform or any associated systems without written authorization
- Intentionally overload, flood, or disrupt the platform's servers, network, or services (denial of service)
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limiting, or access controls
- Use automated tools to create accounts, generate content, or interact with the platform in ways that degrade performance for other users
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform's code or infrastructure
- Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the platform outside of the Agency plan's white-label functionality
Resource Usage
Each plan includes defined storage limits. You may not use the platform for purposes unrelated to operating a website, such as using your storage allocation as a general file hosting or backup service. Websites that consume disproportionate server resources (excessive CPU, bandwidth, or database load) relative to normal CMS usage may be contacted to optimize or upgrade their plan.
The platform is designed for websites, blogs, and content management. It is not designed to host large-scale file distribution, video streaming, or application backends unrelated to your website.
Forms and Lead Capture
Forms created through LiteFrame are intended for legitimate lead capture and visitor communication. You may not configure forms to collect data under false pretenses, collect sensitive financial or health information without appropriate legal basis and security measures, or use collected data in ways that violate applicable privacy laws.
If you use the Agency plan and your clients create forms on their sites, you are responsible for ensuring those forms comply with this policy and applicable data protection regulations.
AI Content Generation (BuildLab)
BuildLab is provided for generating website content, blog posts, meta descriptions, schema markup, landing pages, and related materials. You may not use BuildLab to generate content that violates this AUP, produce bulk content intended solely for search engine manipulation with no value to visitors, generate content that impersonates real individuals, or produce misleading medical, legal, or financial advice presented as professional guidance.
You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before publishing. AI output may contain inaccuracies and should be treated as a draft, not a final product.
Agency Responsibilities
If you operate an Agency account, you are responsible for the content and conduct of all client sites provisioned under your account. This includes ensuring that your clients' websites comply with this AUP. We may contact you regarding violations on client sites before taking action, but we reserve the right to act immediately in cases of severe violations.
You are responsible for communicating acceptable use expectations to your clients. We recommend including your own acceptable use terms in your client agreements.
Reporting Violations
If you become aware of content or activity on the platform that violates this policy, please report it to [email protected]. Include the URL of the content in question and a description of the violation. We review all reports and take appropriate action.
Enforcement
When we identify a violation of this policy, we may take one or more of the following actions depending on the severity:
- Warning: We notify you of the violation and request that you correct it within a specified timeframe.
- Content removal: We remove or disable access to the offending content.
- Account suspension: We temporarily suspend your account while a violation is investigated or resolved.
- Account termination: We permanently terminate your account and delete associated data after the 30-day retention period.
For severe violations (malware distribution, phishing, child exploitation, active attacks on infrastructure), we may suspend or terminate your account immediately without prior notice. In less severe cases, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue before taking action.
Repeated violations, even minor ones, may result in escalated enforcement up to and including termination.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
